About our
Ethos
We are a caring ECD centre that serves our local community. We seek to benefit the public through our stated aims. ABC Kidz Educare welcomes children from all backgrounds. An individual’s economic status, gender, ethnicity, race, or religion do not form part of our acceptance process. Our ECD centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
Parents are given regular information about their children’s social and academic progress through reports, individual parent consultations in addition to regular contact with parents throughout the year and through our newsletters.

Team
Esme Olyn
- Our Principal & Manager
- 20 years experience
- BEd Level 7 in ECD and Foundation Phase
The founder Esme Olyn is the Principal and Manger of ABC Kidz Educare. She has worked herself up the ranks from being a childcare worker, assistant practitioner, class practitioner, deputy principal, principal and then manager. She has a total of 17 years working experience in the childcare industry and 4 years as an administrator.
She possesses a passion for Early Childhood Education and come with the skill set required to run an Early Childhood Development Center.
She is a strong believer that young children learn best through playing and will work hard to ensure that the children are mentally and emotionally prepared for advancing to the next level of their education.

- All teaching practitioners have participated in Early learning Developmental Areas (ELDA) and curriculum (Birth to Four-Year-Old Curriculum) training.
- All members of staff are qualified in first aid, fire, and food safety (Cooks).
- The staff who work with children below the age of 24 months have all done baby care training.
We have the requisite number of qualified first aiders and fire Marshalls. Staff renew this training whenever appropriate. We actively encourage the professional development of all members of staff.

Organisational Philosophy
At ABC Kidz Educare we view each child as unique and precious. Our daily goal is to help develop the whole child: spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually which we do in partnership with the parents and the community.
Aims & Objectives
ABC Kidz Educare aims to provide high quality, affordable ECD for children between the ages of 10 weeks to 4 years of age.
We also aim to provide on-going training and up-skilling for the staff, in accordance with South African legislation.
Our objective is to provide children with the ability to interact with other children and adults, to develop social skills that aid transition to school life and provide a stimulating environment within which children can learn. Children are able to develop at their own pace, both physically and creatively in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
