At ABC Kidz Educare we use the Birth to Four years Curriculum (BT4) of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) together with the Early Learning Development Areas (ELDAs) and (STEAM) Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths.

The Curriculum include lesson plans, routines, assessments, stimulations, reports, guidance in learning areas and classrooms that are invitations to play. Everything that we do in our ECD Centre daily contributes to the Curriculum.

The BT4 and the ELDAs help prepare the children for the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) for age 5 and beyond matric. The Birth to Four Curriculum (BT4) is a Play-based curriculum which allows children to learn the skills they need in a structured environment with the help and supervision of an experienced practitioner who knows how to take interests and experiences and turn them into learning moments.

ABC Kidz Educare employs two cooks who prepares the meals. We are thus fully prepared to take religious eating considerations and food allergies into account. ABC Kidz has a four-week menu.

The following meals are served:

• Breakfast.
• Mid-morning snack.
• Lunch.
• Mid-afternoon snack.
• Late-afternoon snack.

ABC Kidz Educare is licenced to care for and educate 100 children from age 10 weeks to 4 years of age.

• The school year at ABC Kidz Educare is from January to December.
• We follow a 4-term school calendar.
• ABC Kidz Educare offers the following services:
  1. 1. Full day care (7am to 17h30pm)
     2. Holiday care for children under the age of 4 years
     3. Casual day care for children under the age of 4 years

• We are open during official school holidays
• We are closed on all public holidays and long weekends.
• Opening Hours: Monday to Friday: 7am to 17h30pm
• We normally closing on the 23 December at 12h00 and re open a few days after new year.

Our staff to child ratios are as follows:

• 10 weeks – 12 months:           3 children to 1 practitioner 
• 1 year – 2 years:                      4 children to 1 practitioner
• 2 – 3 years:                             9 children to 1 practitioner
• 3 – 4 years:                             9 children to 1 practitioner
